Preterm birth is the challenge faced by many families. Uncertainty, anxiety, unexpected costs and need for support - all these are being experienced by the “early birds” parents.
«Shall I buy the medications listed here? Shall I pay for these? What rights do I have? Is this medication being purchased by the government? How much does the consultation in the catamnestic centre cost?» - these are the questions from parents we hear almost every day.
The government guarantees free of charge healthcare services included into the healthcare guarantee packages of the NHSU. This means that childbirth, newborn intensive care stage, post-NICU as well as catamnestic observation are provided at no charge and guaranteed by the government.
The guaranteed support and up-to-date information about the services available in case of preterm birth will let parents feel safer and survive through this hard period. We are excited to announce the start of new project in which we will keep you informed about the healthcare guarantee packages and will help figure out which free of charge services the parents are entitled to obtain.
