Support Packages FIT FOR WINTER (2024-2025)

Preterm birth is the delivery of a baby before the 37th week of pregnancy. Babies born prematurely have not yet fully developed, so they require special care. One of the greatest challenges they face is maintaining body heat, since their temperature regulation system is still underdeveloped. Due to a lack of fat stores, they lose heat quickly, which can affect their health.

During the colder months, this problem becomes more severe, and families of prematurely born babies need additional support. That is why we launched the FIT FOR WINTER project — to provide these babies with warmth and essential care items.

200 support packages have been delivered to families of preterm babies!

Each package is not just a set of items, but a symbol of support and care. It contained:
  • Warm blankets and overalls designed specifically for preterm babies
  • Tiny hats and mittens, which are often not available in regular stores
  • Warmers, diapers, and essential care products
  • Informational materials for parents

Who received the support?

174 families with preterm babies (born before the 37th week of pregnancy, weighing less than 2500g). Families facing difficult life circumstances. Babies who are cared for in neonatal intensive care units in hospitals.
